Professor Gui started training since the first time he saw skinny Royce Gracie defeating much bigger athletes. Professor Gui’s father was unable to afford a gym for him to train and after a few years Professor Gui started working and was able to start training at a gym. He practiced for a few months and had to stop. When he returned, 2 years later, he never stopped. He started training as a student of his younger brother Guto Campos.

In 2002 he decided that he wanted Jiu – jitsu for his life.
In 2003 he started teaching with his brother at the gym that was inside his house.
In 2004 he became a partner with his brother Guto and founded Academia Guetho Jiu-Jitsu. One of the biggest and strongest teams in southern Brazil.

Until today Professor Gui is part of the Atos Team that he is very proud of.
At the end of 2016 he moved to the USA thinking of giving his daughters a better life opportunity with more security and less violence and being able to help spread the real Jiu-Jitsu to the Texas community.
In August 2018 he moved to Austin with the great help and confidence of investor and friend Aaron Hunt who opened a gym in Austin, Texas.
